I've flown a few GPS approaches coupling the GPS to the AP. I've noticed that even when I use the NoPT (no procedure turn allowed) IAF, the GPS/AP will still attempt to fly the PT. I'm wondering what the proper method is,in this situation,(other than the obvious: uncoupling the AP and flying the approach manually).Bob

How about selecting "radar vectors" as your transition ?Another possibility - GNS530 allows to specify either the current active waypoint or the current active leg. Either way you can bypass PT this way.Michael J.http://www.reality-xp.com/community/nr/rsc/rxp-higher.jpg
