August 5, 201114 yr For a while I've been avoiding SLC for one main reason: their departures. Since SLC has a considerable elevation, they ensure that you don't exceed 250kts 10 seconds after departure (yes, a hyperbole). Anyway, I departed SLC San Francisco bound and used the PECOP2 dep (RNAV). http://aeronav.faa.gov/d-tpp/1108/00365PECOP.PDF If you take a look at the chart you will see various crossing AND speed restrictions. Well let me tell you: The NGX flew them perfectly. In other addons it would miss the altitude and have to descend, not the NGX; in other addons I would end up going 50kts overspeed because the thrust decided to respond only after the level off, not the NGX, in other addons the speed restrictions would be blown off just because I was level for a few minutes (I know), not the NGX!
