Copa repaint config wrong?

Featured Replies

Hey PMDG Trying out the repaint in the Copa 738WL and I am getting terrible climb performance. at FL230 with a gross weight of 128.1lbs and cannot climb really. In the AOA teamspeak we did some troubleshooting and it seems that I am doing everything right but just cant get any climb performance. I am wondering if there might be some issue with a cfg??? People flying the Alaska repaint (and a heavier gross weight than me) has better climb performance than me which makes me wonder if there is something inside the repaints...

Alastair, Are you using any weather programs? Try going to the FSX default "clear" weather and see if that makes a difference. Bad weather data with excessive temperatures can make climb performance go right into the tank.

running ASE and tried with it off and cleared all weather and still seemed to get very low performance. at FL230 i was showing +5C TAT. This is in the Caribbean region.

Can you define "low performance"? What's your climb rate? What N1? 128.1 is your ZFW or your gross weight?

If you suspect the Copa livery, have you tried to replicate this with the PMDG House Livery?

Interesting. I'll download the Copa colors when I get home (it'll be a few hours) and see if I can replicate this.

Flying the -800WL with the Copa livery out of TNCM, I've got GW of 128.6 at FL230, climbing to FL280 at 2100 fpm. TAT is +6C. No problems climbing at all. What was your flight plan when you observed this problem?
