August 8, 201114 yr Hello, I must say that the saved flight mechanism for the NGX is vastly improved compared to previous PMDG products, as it captures just about every setting at the time of save which makes resuming saved flights more enjoyable. I do have the issue with resuming a saved flight if it involves an approach or landing, and like others have mentioned, I hear the trim wheel and after about a few seconds FSX crashes with the faulting module PMDG_737NGX.DLL. I understand it is a known bug that is being investigated, so no real worries about that for now. I just wanted to list some minor things that are not being saved in the file, and wanted to know if it's possible for PMDG to address these in a service pack. If not, I can live with it as they are really just minor annoyances, but I feel they are worth pointing out: 1. Elapsed time on the captain's clock not saved. (no big deal, as I write down the time I takeoff anyways) 2. Amber "No Land 3" on the engine display. I am flying a Delta -800wl with the older honeywell MCP/Autoland Fail Passive option. The manual says the message could be cleared by pressing a C/R button on the MFC, but alas, there is no button for the fail passive/honeywell system. That being said, I do have one final issue, that apart from the items listed above, is rather unsettling. Upon opening a saved flight, as the panel is initializing, after a few seconds of stable performance the throttles jump forward resulting in a massive change in thrust and a steep climb over the inforce cruise altitude. This happens while the autopilot is still active, and the previously used lateral/vertical flight modes remain active as well. I just change the vertical mode from VNAV to Alt Hold to try to recover, and things do eventually settle down. However, no other addon aircraft with a saved flight function I own behaves this way upon resuming flight. It just mars the whole experience. Most of the time I don't really need to worry about saved flights, as my system is very stable and seldom crashes. But crashes can occur, so I do have FSUIPC save my flights automatically just in case, and sometimes I like to break apart long flights over a day or so, or save specific situations for training purposes like takeoffs and approaches (either at the T/D or on short final). I hope this list helps, I really love the NGX so far and I only mention these issues because I know PMDG cares and is striving for perfection, and I am confident that this can be fixed in a service pack. Thank you! A.J. Domingo

August 8, 201114 yr Author I have seen those threads too, but I am confident FSUIPC's autosave function is not causing instability on my system. If not for that feature, I would have be keep hitting the save menu every 5 minutes, which wouldn't be practical.I have the same issues with recovering saved situations even if I save the flight the normal way, so it's not FSUIPC that is causing this. What I am describing is behavior of the saved flight situation (either saved via FSUIPC or by user choice) that is specific to the way the NGX is saving flight variables and how it recovers those variables when it resumes the flight.
