Hi Res Scenery For Ontario And Washington

Featured Replies

Hello everyone i am presently working on high res scenery for ontario canada...and im also releasing high res scenery for washington area..if any of you are fimiliar with fu3 area thats the area im doing im using fu3 hi res maps because of the high definitionand through my testing i find them very close to what fu3 scenery was plus the added feature of fs2004 simulation...If Anyone Needs An Coverage Map I Can Post One..I Will Post Screen Shots Also..Thanks.....

That sounds great, I will be looking forward to the Seattle area. Hopefully Megascenery will choose to do the Northwest at some future time, but for now I would love the Seattle aream with FU3's coverage.

You sound just like Bluejayscenary, Why two names? All of those scenery posts makes me think you are not making any scenery, but that's just me.

"You sound just like Bluejayscenary, Why two names? All of those scenery posts makes me think you are not making any scenery, but that's just me."My thoughts exactly.

do you understand the difference between the projection provided by some aerial photography and the projection used by fs? for instance the projection of the usgs aerial images is UTM using an NAD83 datum. FS uses a Geodetic projection with the WGS84 geoid. It would be a shame if all your work provided photographic scenery that collided visually with all the photographic airports that have been created in Washington. The users would then have to choose between large coverage of imagry, and photoreal airports, or be willing to have the blending of the airports to the surroundings disturbed.Bob BernsteinPS...do you also plan autogen, without it, the fs world would look pretty barren during vfr flight.

These people (same or not) have been showing up in the Flight Unlimited forum off and on for some time now. All I can say is - don't get your hopes up for anything. Some people like to pull other people's chains for some reason...The common response in the FU forum to claims like these is, "I'll believe it when I see it."

I am very curious if this is payware or freeware... If it's freeware, you are certainly in the right place.... OTH if you are discussing a payware project, then this isn't the right place for it--a website of your own or a press release through AVSIM would be.It'd be hard to imagine a freeware project of this scale, since high res scenery on the scale of what's found in FU-3 would absorb a ton of space.. I hope I am wrong. As Bob suggested, a screenshot or two has more impact than just a "I am working on this post"...unless you are writing some utility of course...-John

It's not freeware or payware...it's BS-ware.

LOL yep. probably.I dunno. These people must be bored out of their minds. I doubt they really have anything in store.-Daniel
