I have never seen a "bypass" message before probably because this sim is more accurate than others. I have learned from a RW pilot that it means the aircraft will bypass the fix. I am curious about what the condition is that will cuase a bypass message?

If the FMC calculates it can't make both fixes (too tight, too fast), it doesn't make a botched attempt. From memory it can even be a double bypass but not a triple, A/P will disconnect.
