Hi, can anyone point me to the right chapter in the manuals for alternative arrival programming on the cdu? Im struggle slightly.On the Dep/Arr page, Im upselecting a icao code to 6R, which immediately shows me the runways/stars for the airport.But I then cant select anything. Alittle stumped now.

look like you have to reprogramme your route act route , execute and select your rw andyour what looks like a mendatory STAR IN dep/arr alt dest. seems to mal functionne for my part

Assuming I'm understanding you correctly, look at pages 937 and 938 of FCOM 2.

ARR prompt for OTHER allows display of arrival information about airports that are not an origin or destination. The displayed information can be viewed but cannot be selected, because the airport is not on the route.
