747X and ground effect

I have read in these forums that FSX does not model ground effect and whenever I fly the default or even payware Cessnas that would seem to be true. I cannot get that "float" at the flare that I can get when I fly a real Cessna. In the sim it just plummets the last few feet on to the concrete and it is all rather unsatisfying.The 744X however does seem to fly in ground effect as the mains gently touch (provided I am paying attention). The last minute plummet, under normal circumstances (and with good technique) is not there. Can anyone enlighten me or did I hear that bit about no ground effect in FSX incorrectly?
