3D cockpit control

Featured Replies

Hi AllI am shiny new to the 737NGX. I am confused by the control of the mouse in VC. It seems that if I move too far back the mouse pointer won't change to allow me to make swith changes etc. Only if I get relatively close will they work. Is that right because I have seen a youtube video where someone took you through the cockpit and he seemed to be workig controls from some distance away in VC. I am using W7 64 bit Thanks for any help/advice John

This is one of my gripes with VC's... you need to move back and zoom out to get a good overall view over your domain, but it makes it more challenging to control the aircraft. I experienced this very problem myself - You are probably moving your viewpoint too far backwards - and your eyes are actually "in" the headrest behind you. (Look backwards - if you don't see the headrest, you're actually in it!) Because you are in the headrest, the mouse clicks you are doing are actually clicking on the invisible inside leather of the headrest, and not on the panel in front of you. You'll need to inch your way forward until you are out of the headrest, then you will regain the ability to click on the panels. Good luck to you!-Greg

Thanks Greg I did eventually come to that conclusion, but it's good to have it confirmed. Thanks John
