August 15, 201114 yr Thirdly (I know I said "a few" but work with me here...) we are currently discussing the merits of frequent min-updates to the NGX or a single, all inclusive SP1. I'll let you know what we decide over the next few days- and I'l also give you an idea when we anticipate releasing the SP1 and the 600/700 that will follow on its heels! I welcome the Hot-fixes - even up to 1-2 a week, as bugs are corrected. This at least allows a large base of users to "Gamma" test the changes, and provide feedback, and users see a conatant improvement in the operation of the sim. My worst fear is a rush to put out a SP1, that still has significant bugs, yet to be corrected, and then a LONG wait to any possible future SP2, and having to live with those bugs. It is unreasonable to expect such a new and complex software product to be released "Bug Free".PMDG is doing an amazing job in responding so quickly to customer issues. In comparison, Microsoft (the "experts"), are constantly putting out OS updates to fix "issues", and don't hold your breath waiting for any specific issue to be addressed by them. The degugging progess PMDG have made in just the 10 days since the release, should be commended. Geoff
August 15, 201114 yr Right now I am looking forward to the fix that will let me activate and actually get a look at the aircraft, so definitely would go for the "Hot Fix" rather than the SP route. In the case of MS, I was always under the impression that the bulk of the service pack was made up of "hot fixes" that were previously available individually. Certainly for killer issues I think it would be advantageous to get the fixes out quick for those that need them - then roll them up into a service pack at a later stage, to save users that don't need certain fixes installing file after file...G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
