August 18, 201114 yr Hello All, Due to the number of frozen panels in the VC (Tickets raised each time), I decided to do a re-install of FSX as per the suggestions of PMDG, including SP 1-2, but there are no addons installed except FSUIPC. I installed the 737ngx and loaded a flight. No freezing of PFD ND or EICAS at this point. I went to options/controls/yoke to insert FS commands into buttons and on returning to VC the panels were frozen. I then went to VIEWS and re-selected the VC view and the panels were OK. Might I suggest, to those it may concern, when the aircraft opens and initialises for the first time after a reinstall, go to controls/yoke and do the necessary including FSUIPC settings then start doing the setting up of the 737. This may be a help in overcoming the freezes in the short term. I might get shot down in flames for these suggestions. My next problem is whats going to happen when I start installing my addons. richard welsh. Richard Welsh
August 18, 201114 yr I have heard a lot of FSUIP related issues in these forums. Your post sounds like a common problem. The bloke who wrote FSUIP is supposed to be working on this. I have found that getting rid of FSUIP solved all of my problems after a clean install. (after i was trying to fault find) I dont have a a lot of programs that need FSUIp so i have just deleted it and have had a trouble free experience with NGX since. Happy flying! Phil BrewerHowever if you need FSUIP for other stuff then................................well use what you can etc and see what happens.
August 18, 201114 yr I have no problems FSUIPC NGX. Uninstalling FSX for me would be nouthing short of a catastrophy. In 4yrs of using FSX I have never uninstalled it to fix anything! The "Bloke" you are referring to is an absolutly brilliant gentelmen names Pete Dowson. What he has contributed to the flight sim communty for us serious simmers is nouthing but heroic. I believe you could show the "gentelmen" a little respect! +10 Peter Dowson ........ ....... ........ Geoff
