August 19, 201114 yr I am currently setting up my new rig for FSX, and I would like to know if there is a special order in which to install add-ons to get maximum performance and minimum problems.Right now I have installed FSX gold edition, followed NickN's guide and run my config through venetubo. I have installed the PMDG NGX with EZdok and FSX global ultimate (Americas/Europe/Africa) and have a smooth running installation, externally locked at 30 fps.I would like to install the following add-ons:- Ultimate terrain X for America and Europe- REX- GEX- Active sky evolution- Radar contact 4- Nl2000 v4- Some add-on airports like Aerosoft EHAMWhat would be the best order or is it not important which add-ons you install first. Any tips in increasing the performance of these products? And finally: does anyone know of another "must have" add-on?Thanks in advance for your help, Arjen Nederstigt System: Intel Skylake Core i7 6700K @ 4.0GHz / Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1080 Xtreme / Kingston 2x8GB, DDR4, 2666MHz, CL15 Microsoft Windows 10 Home
August 19, 201114 yr I would install UTX first. Place it in your scenery library just above Propeller Objects. Then GEX next. It replaces your default textures for FSX and enhances some of the UTX textures. Then the others in no particular order. There's tips for enhancing UTX in the UTX forum. Same goes for ASE. Look for enhancements by the developer and others on the HiFi Sim forum here on AVSIM. It is extremely important you modify this program correctly for best enjoyment. The default settings work great! Best regards,Jim
