Am I getting the best from my PC

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm running FSX on and I7 930 overclocked to 3.8GHZ. I have 2 x GTX 460 cards (yes I know SLI does nothing for FSX but I have other games that use it). I also have 12 GB of RAM and a HD screen. I'm getting quite good performance even with the NGX (up to 50 FPS in the cruise with stock scenery, about 20 - 30 FPS around busy add on airports). I'm doing all of this by using the standard NVIDIA control panel and no other tweaks other than the ones done by *******'s FSX.cfg programme. I was wondering are there any other bits of software like NVIDIA inspector that I should use to get the best performance (I sometimes get flickering graphics). all the best David

Switch to nVidia Inspector and use the settings in the pinned thread in this forum.

I'll try that. What do you reckon 8s or 8sQ for a GTX 460 1mb??

Use 4xS, works for me and looks nice. I would say you are right on par for FPS.
