AES download current weather

Featured Replies

HiAm new to using ASE and am having difficulty in getting current weather into FSX. Sometimes am successful, othertimes I fail. Am sure I must miss a crucial step. On the weather config screen I click the orange download button and the weather is downloaded. On the General screen I have Automatic Downloads ticked. Yet when I start FSX I get "user defined weather clear skys"Thanks

Regards

Nixon Thomas

Same here...I tryed now at EGLC and at LSZB and both time get wrong weathers (vs the real metars) . In the case of LSZB I even get a wrong date ! Thanks for your helpKarim

actually, it looks like that for most cases the date of the metar is the date I purchased ASE...yet I have the impression that it's downloading stuff and I hit the refresh button. I am probably doing something wrong. Help :)

Nixon, With ASE and FSX communicating the weather theme in FSX SHOULD be User Defined, so that is correct. Then all the conditions come from ASE. You never have to visit that screen in FSX. You also don't need to go to the Wx Config screen in ASE as well, unless you are designing your own weather conditions. ou have automatic downloads on, Force to Real Time on and then AS will supply FSX with the latest weather data. Karim, You need to see if you have the Force to Real Time option On and Automatic Downloads On. If you are getting the purchased date METARs then look to these options.
