Removing 737NGX/777
Hi I remember seeing a post by scandinavian13 giving exact instructions for removal of both the 737 and 777 before reinstalling. I would be grateful for a link to that thread or for the exact instructions to beadded to this thread. Thanks in anticipation

PMDG ops error downloading livery list
Hi I have had no problems with the Operations centre until the start of this week when I also got "There was an unknown error downloading the list of liveries" I raised a ticket about this in the early hours of Tuesday morning and am awaiting a solution. I have reinstalled the 777 base and expansion pack all as Kyle's post pinned at the top of the General forum. I left the folder entitled "PMDG operations centre" in place. I am now wondering if I should have removed this file? If so I will reinstall the 777.

Scrambled ND display in P3D version
Thanks Kyle. Could you please tell me where I can find the fix that you mention?

Scrambled ND display in P3D version
Hi I have the same problem but in FSX original in both the 737-700 and 900 with the side by side display. It only happens on the Captain's side. https://www.dropbox.com/s/uv56ba5nqyf7ous/2015-3-26_22-42-34-856.BMP?dl=0 and disappears when display is clicked on as below https://www.dropbox.com/s/ys1rorav2z4lwpt/2015-3-26_22-42-43-49.BMP?dl=0 Should I submit a ticket?

Installing FSX and FSX:SE Updates
Hi I too have had the same problem re the caution lights for fuel and anti ice. I uninstalled the 737 expansion and then the base pack. I didn't delete any other folders as I had noticed in the read me file under UNINSTALL NOTES the following in block capitals "DO NOT MANUALLY DELETE FILES FROM YOUR MACHINE". I have now read this thread and see that it's suggested that we should manually uninstall files. Please could someone from PMDG clarify the official position especially as the above quote is printed directly above the EULA.

Still Trim issues with Sp1b
I have followed this thread with interest but have not posted before as fortunately I don't have problems trimming the PMDG 777. I have an Elite yolk which has a strong spring and this makes it easy to find and remain at the neutral point. I previously had a CH yolk with a far weaker spring and on changing to the Elite yolk I immediately found it a lot easier to trim all my simulated aircraft. Therefore Rob I think your idea to mess about with springs etc could well be worth the effort. It would also be interesting to know what yolk Kevin and Martin use?

PMDG 777 FMC Maximum Altitude Issue
Kyle you know the answer so what is the point of making a post seventeen hours after the topic starter has said he has resolved everything and in fact an hour before stated that "did not realise that"?

Still Trim issues with Sp1b
I thought this topic was about PMDG 777 stab trim issues so can we please return to the original topic. Too many threads get hijacked and mainly by the same people.

Is this the shortest 777 flight?
I just looked on the BA site and you are right, you can buy tickets from Antigua to all three destinations.

Is this the shortest 777 flight?
Recently I have been flying from Gatwick to Antigua as BA 2157. After Antigua the plane flies on to one of three destinations which are Tobago, Punta Cana and St Kitts. Tobago and Punta Cana are approx 400 NM from Antigua. St Kitts though is only 65 NM from Antigua. I assume that you can't board the BA 777 at Antigua and just fly to anyone of these destinations therefore the St Kitts hop is only part of a longer route. Yet in my view it still counts as a flight. When I have the time I intend to do this short hop! My question is does anyone know of an even shorter 777 passenger flight?

Auto throttle speed control
The only time I have had this happen in the PMDG 777 is landing at Manchester UK the other night. The weather was very poor ( I suspect in real life they may have not attempted to land until things calmed down a bit). The A/T was in hold mode (I have the A/T in the PMDG override when in hold mode). I moved the throttle forward and the speed still decreased for a little while and then as the engines spooled up the speed increased slowly. I disconnected the A/T and set the thrust to give me a Vref speed plus around 12 knots. I put it down to the large engines taking a while to spool up and also as I think the IAS was partly increasing and decreasing due to the weather and at a greater rate than the A/T could spool the engines up or down. That's why I disconnected the A/T and flew with the higher Vref speed.I didn't attempt to keep exactly to the vref plus 12 speed but adjusted the throttles once it was obvious that the speed was increasing or decreasing by about 4 knots. I have no idea if what I did is the accepted way to deal with this but it leads me to think that you may have had a similar thing happen to you and therefore it's unlikely that it's hardware related. Finally I used to live in Hong Kong and I know that Chek Lap Kok airport can have very bad down draughts from the hills on Lantau island immediately to the south of the airport. So I think that you would have at least as bad conditions as my Manchester landings. I'm old enough to have experienced landing many times at the old Kai Tak airport and even just as SLF it was always fun especially when on finals as you could look out and see the TV's on in the adjacent flats.

High Fuel Temperature
Thanks I have now found it. My mistake I missed it on my initial look yesterday. Once again thanks for your help.

High Fuel Temperature
Bryan thanks for that. It partly answers my question and it would seem sensible for the fuel temp to be amber when nearing that temp. Silly I know but it's just bugging me that I can find no mention of the indication turning amber when the fuel gets very hot.

High Fuel Temperature
I thought that and that's why I looked at the manuals and was surprised that I couldn't find that in them.

High Fuel Temperature
Hi The other day I was on the ground a OMDB Dubai preparing to fly the 777-300 ER to Manchester EGCC. The outside air temp was 43 degrees celsius. The fuel temp was also +43 degrees and the fuel temp was indicated in amber. After take off and as expected the fuel temp slowly dropped. When it reached + 41 the temp figure then turned white. Out of interest I have just checked FCOMv2 chapter 20 where under the title fuel temperature it says the following "The temperature is normally displayed in white. It is displayed in amber when the fuel temperature approaches the fuel freeze temperature entered on the flight management system CDU." There is no mention of the fuel temperature being displayed in amber when the fuel is very hot due to the ambient temperature being very high. I was wondering which of the following is the case: FCOMv2 applies to earlier 777's than the actual version simulated by PMDG or It's a bug in the simulation or finally: It's some other cause.
