I'm thinking about getting a new computer but want one that will handle FSX with all of the below addons and still maintain around 20 fps w/ high settings. My PC: EVGA GTX 1080 FTW, i7 6700k OC'd to 4.6, ASUS Rog Maximus VIII Hero Mobo, 16GB DDR4 3200 RAM, 2 Intel 750 Series SSDs, Creative Sound Blaster Z.

This would run FSX itself alright but not all those on high settings at once over 20FPS. That has integrated graphics, something you want to stay away from when running FSX. Could I suggest building a full custom one with cyberpower or iBuypower if you don't feel like building a system but IMO, building them is the best bit.If you were to build (I don't know what budget you got) i would go for an i5 2500k GTX 560 based system cos the NGX will eat resources.

Have a look at my laptop in my sig. It runs similar addons fairly well. You'll never be able to run those addons, especially NGX into FSDT O'hare over 20FPS

Well, this is the current specs on my computer: - Windows 7 64-bit- Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 2.4GHz- ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series GPU- 640 GB Harddrive- 4GB memory I currently get about 5-10 fps without the world of ai traffic packages. All I need is a laptop, since I'm going to college, that will get me a constant 10 -12 fps with the above addons. Anymore 10-12 fps looks very smooth. I don't have to have 20 fps and I could easily do without the world of ai packages as I know they eat up a lot of fps. My budget is $700.00 USD. Would this computer at least run smoother than my current setup? Best Regards,Robert

Sorry for not replying quicker, but NGX I want to say thanks so much for the suggestion. I ended up purchasing it. For $700 you can't get much of a better deal unless I got a desktop. This will also be perfect for carrying to class. Best Regards,Robert

Nice top, I am personally a fan of ASUS laptops but that looks like a pretty good one, great value too.

Just out of curiosity. NGX I noticed that you have a similar system. Would you mind telling me what kind of performance you get with the NGX and other addons such as scenery, weather, etc? Best Regards,Robert
