January 6, 200422 yr Does anybody know if it is possible to set the time in fs9 to default to my local time when I load it up. My problem is that every time I start fs9 it defaults to the USA and I live in Australia. I have tried to get around this by resetting the time when I ceate a new flight but the system does not know that our seasons are different and it even thinks that GMT is either 6hrs ahead of me or 17 hrs behind when it should be -10 hrsCheers Semm
January 7, 200422 yr When you load FS9 go to SETTINGS....GENERAL and check the SYSTEM TIME option. When ever FS9 loads its clock will run at what your system clock and dates are.Pete
January 7, 200422 yr Hi Pete, thanks for your reply. I did as you said but the system still cannot recognize the season for my areaCheers Semm
January 7, 200422 yr Author Set the defaulty flight to 'Previous Flight'.FS will then load to the place, time and condition you were in when you last shutdown.I come from Australia too and have posted previously about the timezone issues. You may remember in the early 90's the thenQld government held a referendum on whether we should retain daylight saving and in most cases the 'No' vote was carried by country areas.Today I was flying Brisbane to Townsville and just south of Townsville I found MS has done what the people couldn't do - they got Daylight saving for North Queensland. Brisbane UTC + 10, Townsville UTC +9.Andy bedit: Just read your post again - unfortunately you cannot reverse the seasons for the southern hemsiphere - plain and simple. Andy Brockbank
