Berlin Tempelhof EDDI?

Featured Replies

Hello, unfortunately EDDI is closed since two years now. As Berlin had 3 Airports very close to each other, the metars do surely overlap each other I think.EDDt to EDDB is about 14 Miles and EDDI is in the middle of both. For EDDI, there is no valid Real-METAR available since closing and I wonder if this would influence EDDT and EDDB??? I have always the feeling that EDDI would make the weather better as it is in Berlin. currently we have in EDDT clouds at 300 feet and 3 miles visibilityEDDB shows 6 miles visibility and clouds at 600 feet. But EDDI shows in ASE 10+ SM and clouds at 1200 feet. Could we disable METAR-reading for EDDI? is it possible to delete this station? How do ASE handle this closed airport? Many thanks for answering!Günter

Hi, It would use interpolated data. You could delete the station, but I believe that interpolation would still be used. Think of this location just like locations that do not have a weather station associated with it.

Hi, Not at home right now, but in Options on the last right tab, then you are going to use the bottom left drop down window to load each of the databases one at a time, find that location, delete it and then save. Have FSX closed during this time and then re-start ASE and FSX.

ok, tried it and I recommend it highly!!! complete different weather now in Berlin! Just for other users again step by step: - Start ASE and go to "Options" --> "Edit Station Data" - left below is a menu "Load Data File", select "Airports" first - scroll and search for EDDI and mark on the right side "disabled" and click "Save edit" - choose now "Data Stations" and search for EDDI AND EDBB!! Disable both and save - choose now "physical stations and disable also EDDI and save - Restart ASE (and FSX if it was running) I have now the right weather over Berlin.Damned that I haven't asked that years ago ;-) -
