My Thoughts On The NGX

Featured Replies

Hey everyone, I am pretty blown away by this simulation. After getting two CTD in a row (most likely due to scenery, it crashed in the exact place during descent both times, but after uninstalling the scenery I have been fine) I have made two successful flights so far. As someone who is both an audiophile and who needs planes to "fly by the book," this airplane has hit it out of the park. For all my other planes I find myself having to edit the flight dynamics and sound pack to make it realistic, not so with this plane. That being said, I have just a few issues. 1. Pitch attitude on final. After doing a few approaches myself, I can confirm what many on here have been saying: level pitch attitude at a flaps 30 VREF + 5 approach. It has been referenced many times on these forums that Boeing documentation indicates there should be a 2.4 degree pitch up attitude in this configuration. This is something the developers need to address. To those on here that (still!) don't agree there is something wrong here, I invite you to hand-fly an approach with no autothrottle at VREF + max wind additives. See if you don't either float for a mile or land on your nose. There is clearly something wrong here, and hopefully the developers address it once they get done addressing some of the more pressing issues. On the other hand, I do like how they have simulated ground effect. The pitch attitude just needs to be tweaked a little and I will be happy. 2. No charts with Lbs. units in the FCOM for the B738. For some reason it looks like all the other variants have Lbs., but the 738 only has kgs. Not a huge issue, just makes it a little of a pain when calculating takeoff performance for us Americans. And that's about it. All in all, hands down the best addon ever for FSX! Ben
