August 29, 201114 yr You should probably post this in the networking forum. More chance of getting an answer there. Did the adapter come with any software? A disc or anything? August 29, 201114 yr Did you manually download and install the USB drivers for your motherboard? especially the USB 3.0 ones? maybe that WI-FI doesn't like the default drivers or something
August 29, 201114 yr ...I am currently using a very long RJ45 cable... How long is the cable? What type of cable (CAT 5, 5e, 6; there is no such thing as "RJ45 cable" as RJ45 is a type of connector jack, not a type of cable). What is your connection speed/type? (e.g. 1000-BASE-T, 1000-BASE-TX) If in gigabit speed, are all four cable pairs wired? Cheers, - jahman.
August 31, 201114 yr Author RJ45 cable not the problems, it the wireless network apt which was the problem, but thanks anyway, I have just brought a belkin which worked first time. Mark
