August 31, 201114 yr After a very long time I have decided to purchase Track IR 5. I read several reviews and watched a few videos on youtube. For a while I was using FaceTrackNoIR, a free piece of software, which gave me a idea of what you could achieve using the more advanced Track IR. I was surprised that I could not find a Avsim review for Track IR though, as many user after their purchase stated they could not imagine using FS without it. Looking forward to taking flight sim to the next level. Regards Paul
August 31, 201114 yr I have TIR4 and its wonderful. Are you using EZCA already? The two work extremely well together after they have been setup correctly. (Hint: run both as 'administrator' or they may not play nicely together). I highly recommend using these two together for the ultimate VC experience.
August 31, 201114 yr Hey Paul, I also have been thinking about purchasing Track IR 5. The only thing holding me back is I don't believe it will work if you are using multiple monitors in windowed mode. I believe it will work on only one of those monitors but not all of them at the same time. I use 3 wide-screen monitors for the primary view and I am presently able to toggle the three separate views to pan together using the hat switch. I have wondered if Track IR 5 would recognize when I link those three views using the FSX command available for doing that or if Track IR 5 would still continue to operate on only one of the three views even though they are linked and will pan together using the hat switch. Maybe someone out there who is presently using multiple monitors can tell us if Track IR 5 will work successfully on such a setup? Regards, John John
