January 10, 200422 yr Author Hi Chuck,I suppose you're using FS9 rather than FS4 ;). With FS9 (aka FS2004) there was a problem with Radeons, but that was resolved in the latest drivers (3.10). However, you should also upgrade to the latest version of DirectX (DX9.0b). The driver is available from the ATI website (www.ati.com), and DX9 from Microsoft or via the Windows Update function on your computer.Hope this helps.Cheers,Gostahttp://www.hifisim.com/images/as2betateam.jpg
January 10, 200422 yr I have a new computer with a Radeon 9600, It is doing the same thing...screen flash 3 or 4 times changing between functions. Otherwise runs good. I am showing driver version 6/14/10 installed. Any additional thought would be appreciated. Thanks...Roger
January 10, 200422 yr As a Radeon user myself, the flashing/blinking screens is solely a video driver problem. Upgrading to the latest Catalyst drivers (versions 3.9 or 3.10) should solve the problem.-- WaltRunning FS2004 at 1280x940x32Intel Pentium 4, 2.0 GHzWindows XP Pro512MB PC800 RDRAM,8100128MB ATI Radeon 9600 ProCATALYST Windows XP 3.9 video driverDirectX 9.0b19 inch Samsung SyncMaster 955DF MonitorSound Blaster Audigy2 ZSMS ForceFeedback 2 joystick
January 10, 200422 yr Yes, mine had also that problem. But with the Catalyst and without DirectX9b it will be a pain in the a... So, surely upgrade DirectX9 to X9b.CheersRobert Rob
January 10, 200422 yr I downloaded the 3.10 drivers from the ATI site. They are self installing and did the job. Flashing is gone now. Thanks for the info...Roger
