Central Spain sunk
Hi,Now I discovered the same thing in Bulgaria. A part of Bulgaria is sunk now, putting the airport of Plovdiv on a plateau. The difference with the former Spain scenery problem is that I don't have this sunk scenery when I depart from Plovdiv, only when I arrive there.Does anyone knows what scenery is interfering there? Thanks in advanceRob

Central Spain sunk
Hi Christian,A GREAT THANKS !!! It was indeed Olbia VFR. How is it possible that a local Italian VFR mesh can demolish half of the Spain scenery.I am now performing the Spanish IFR tour and it was horrible to see every time half of Spain sunk.Again, thank you very much.Best regardsRob

Central Spain sunk
Hi,Since a week ago I discovered that the a great central part of Spain is sunk and only water parts and airports are on normal level. The sunk part appears in squares when I fly over it, just like the normal evolution of the scenery in squares. I don't know what I did wrong. I use FS9 and have a lot of freeware and payware scenery of Spain, but as far as I know no mesh.I would very appreciate if someone could give me some hints about what is wrong here. RegardsRob

Contrails Pro
I use it with FS9 and keep it because it's the only way to see contrails in on-line flying. But, this product could be better and in its present form it isn't worth the money.Rob

Transparent buidings or parts disappear
PROBLEM SOLVEDThere was a double definition of AES BASEPACK in the scenery.cfg file. (How that come I don't know). I installed AES 2.07 and it gave me this warning and the program repaired it. It was not a transparent issue as I thought first but an AES issue as Mike suggested.Rob

Transparent buidings or parts disappear
You are right, Mike. It's completely puzzling to me.I checked other scenery and as far as I could observe I didn't find any anomalies there. I was making the flight EBBR-LHBP on Saturday and discovered those two issues. I will look further. Anyway, I let you know if I eventually come up with a solution. Thanks Rob

Transparent buidings or parts disappear
Hi all,I have a strange problem. Since yesterday suddenly all transparent buidings in each scenery have disappeared.I give you here the example of Brussels where the right terminal which is transparent has disappeared whereas the left one which is not remains visible. Anyone helping me in this issue would be great.(Win XP - FS2004 - AES) ThanksRob

Double afcad
Hi,Does anybody know a good program to scan for double afcad files?I have tried scanafd but I have the impression that it detects more so-called duplicates than the real afcads. Thanks

Open letter to the AVSIM Staff
Thanks Robert and Momtchil,Finally, answers from staff members.Yes, I understand the argument that there are a lot of freeware developers which also need to be awarded in some way.But my special respect to Robert-Jan is inspired by his long-standing work, which consists of nearly each day during all these years searching on the net for new freeware scenery and cataloguing it. And, contrary to one might think, it is not only restricted to searching in Avsim libraries. I can assure that, for instance, the widely spread French scenery is moving all the time and not always easy to localize again. Even after AVSIM was hacked, he managed to change many links to flightsim.com for those files that were available there, all that in order to keep on serving the Flightsim community.I have never known an individual doing such constant task for us all. I still see in many forums that people refer to his site. His site must have a tremendous amounts of hits every day, but he is even so humble not to put a counter. I raised the demand here and leave AVSIM as the first big FS-site to think about it. But, not for long. I will try to put all my efforts in one way or another in seeing him to be awarded for his work.PS. I have no relation with Robert-Jan whatsoever. The only contact that I have with him is by sending him once and a while a correction for a broken link which he answers with a "thanks". I sincerely hope that he is not reading these posts. And ... concerning the donation, even an automatic mail with some kind of gratitude would be the slightest sign of politeness to someone who donates. At least he knows then that his money did arrive in the right hands.RegardsRob

... and AVSIM hasn't still ears for it. Why do commercial companies receive awards and people doing for free long-standing work for the FS community not?At least I would expect an answer from the staff, but apparently they didn't. That's AVSIMPSLast year I started to give a donation ($10) which I would make to a yearly habit. I didn't receive even the slightest "thank you" whatsoever. The only way that I discovered that they received my money was when I saw it was withdrawn from my bank account.

Open letter to the AVSIM Staff
----- OPEN LETTER ----------------Dear Staff members,There is a person in Holland, Robert-Jan Oosterloo, who keeps a list of all freeware sceneries available for FS2004 and FSX. This list can be found on http://walhalla.mine.nu/fs2004.phpThis person does this research continuously and in a meticulous way since a long period (surely, for more than 5 years).I have noticed that people in several forum posts are being referred to his site and found the freeware scenery they were looking for.My question is now the following. Why can such a guy, performing a non-profit task, not receive a reward in some way, if I compare with all the rewards that are given to commercial add-ons?I have in no way connection with this guy, but I just want to see that someone being all those years of strategic importance for the FS community would receive a kind of recognition for his longstanding work. This needs not to cost anything, but could be a kind of public award given to him.I hope that you, as claimed to be the n

Problem 737NG 800/900 install
SOLVED !Thanks, lads, for the answers. I have now (finally) found that it was indeed v1.2 instead of v1.3.The reason that I didn't have problems before is that I installed it and omitted the panel because I had already a hardware cockpit with the following PC and just copied and pasted PMDG 800/900I wanted to install it now on a new PC, having a complete duplicate of FS, but without using my cockpit. This PC is just for testing new (freeware) stuff before putting it on my real FS PC.Sorry, guys for the disturbance.Rob
