Apple Trackpad with FSX?

Featured Replies

My well-meaning "better half" bought me an Apple trackpad to work with my FSX PC. We have mainly Macs for everything but a few apps that won't run on a Mac, such as FSX and some sewing apps of her's, however all of the Macs are Macbooks so have their own trackpad built in. Before I unwrap this, I'm wondering how it might work with Windows, and FSX in particular . FSX runs on a dedicated PC that I built, so Boot Camp is not on that machine. I did find an article on making the Trackpad work with Windows without needing Boot Camp (I have Win 7/64), however the functionality is reduced to single touch and click only, so it doesn't look good :) But I thought I would start here and see if anyone is using a trackpad successfully with FSX. Thanks, Bruce.

Mac user here, but I use an old PC just for FSX. IMHO, you're better off just going out and buying a cheap wireless mouse...there's just too many fiddly things in FSX that the trackpad, any trackpad for that matter, would prove extra frustrating with. I once tried a Magic Mouse in an FPS game...pulled out a normal mouse shortly thereafter. ;)
