January 13, 200422 yr I think the FS9 instrument rating checkride in the flight lessons has serious problems. It seems to me impossible to pass it. The instructions say in the beginning you maintain a 066 heading to pass over the FACTS intersection. The fact is, 066 won't take you to FACTS. After you fail the test, the instructor tells you about all the things you did wrong. Some of them are flat out lies. How can you fail all those if all you did was follow the instructions?Like I said, serious problems.
January 13, 200422 yr Does nobody have a response for this?Is there a trainer who could fly this ride with me to show me what I'm doing wrong?

It flat out lied about my alititudes and such. I just gave up, maybe you should too. Maybe there is someone out there who's passed it, but I haven't heard from them.good luck
