Do I Need To Run WideFS ?

Recommended Posts

Hi I currently have FSX on my main (desktop) computer and ASE on a networked laptop. Also on this laptop I have WideFS which I used when I had FS2004 installed. For some reason I can't run ASE on its own without having FSUIPC's wind smoothing activated, don't know why its just my system, otherwise the upper winds remain the same as ground level. Anyway using FSUIPC wind smoothing fixes that, so I am now happy. I know ASE uses Simconnect but as I also use FSUIPC to change the weather should I also run WideFS on the client computer or does FSUIPC do its magic within FSX. Glen

Hi, No, you will not get any interaction between WideFS and ASE. FSUIPC will still do it's magic on the server computer!
