Invalid scenery path: "Area.152.cfg"

Featured Replies

I've added FA/18EX from www.vrsimulations.com/ and at the same time all Freeware PW Sceneries from www.strikingsoftware.com to my FSX.When starting FSX, I get an error message referring to an " invalid remote scenery path: "Area.152.cfg". With Windows 7, I've looked for it unsuccessfully in:C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\C:\Users\All Users\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\C:\Users\<username>\Roaming\Microsoft\FSX\Does anyone knows what to do? Or can somobody email "Area.152.cfg" to <[email protected]> where I can copy and paste it manually in the Scenery folder! Many Thanks in advance!

Go into your C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\FSX\, rt-click on scenery.cfg, edit (with Notepad), go down the list 'till you find the missing entry. Remove it, and renumber all 'Area=xxx and Layer=xxx' following it, so that they are consecutive again. When you next start FSX, it will rebuild its scenery database. Then you can go to Setting->Scenery Library and add the missing scenery if you know what it is.
