anyone use DX10 preview still? (I do !)

I have been experiementing with lots of tweaking, specifically for my new PMDG NGX naturally. However, DX10 has always been trouble besides the flashing runway textures etc.... but darn it... it does run FSX SMOOTHER!!!! I don't think anyone can dispute that.... and it does really tame stutters..... yes it does... however, my gripe has always it's been easy to crash FSX with DX10 preview on... my laptop always gets a black screen or the famous "the display driver has stopped working and has fully recovered" blah blah.... yes, easy to recreate...just enable it and FSX usually crashes within an hour or so..... BUT NOT NOW... hmmmm I have redone a new FSX.cfg..... as it comes from the box with only *******' HIGHMEMFIX=1 and his Affinitymask=14 tweaks and that's all!!! only them!! and now FSX runs great in DX10 mode with no hangs...hmmmm???? could this be the solution to finally smoother flying!?!?!?!
