And therein lies the problem: The FSUIPC User Guide is a hybrid between a User Manual and a Reference Manual because it is far too detailed and is pretty much unreadable by the uninitiated due to the amount of detail, especially if the reader is not technically oriented. Therefore I insist specific guides for CH and Saitek gear (like that by John Cook) ought to be included to ease newbie introduction to the World of FSUIPC hardware assignments to buttress the "Guide" portion of the User Guide". I state this opinion pretty firmly with lots of user guides vs. reference manuals read in my career as well as oversight of technical documentation development for a system that needed to be implemented by a party of thousands with little technical background. Heck, PeteD could make millions if only 10% of FSX simmers bought the registered version of FSUIPC! (of course, maybe they already have! Cheers, - jahman.
