September 26, 201114 yr A (newbie) question: Does TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD affects the way the NGX VC looks ? Going from TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=1024 to TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=4096 (in my fsx.cfg) doesnt seem to impact the VC. I am probably doing something wrong . The VC looks still quite good but not as amazing as for example the AOA NGX intro video. And yes my global texture resolution slider is set to very high. Kind Regards, Karim
September 26, 201114 yr Hi Karim, Texture Max Load in FSX settings is the Global Texture Resolution slider in the Graphics settings.. at 100% its 1024 and thats all it ever needs to be (never lower than 100%) unless you need support for one of the addons that requires 4096 to run the huge resolutions like the NGX uses then you must manually change it in the config to 4096.(Source: here) Regards, Frank van der Werff
September 26, 201114 yr Author Hi Frank, Thanks for your reply. I totally agree with what you said. But my problem is that changing the TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD from 1024 to 4096 doesn't seem to impact my NGX VC.PS: After doing the change, I checked to ensure that FSX didn't change it back to 1024. Regards Karim
