January 19, 200422 yr Jim Shoots, Jim Scores... Well Done... :-)Regards,JoePS*******************************************Note to those considering installing SHOOT*******************************************Make sure you have MS .net frameowrk installed, and the Micorsoft Speech SDK installed BEFORE installing and running Shoot. And follow the directions implicitly, and you should have it up and running shortly. Oh, and please, please, please, do the training that is recommended. http://aboutpolitics.net/images/bannerav.gif.About Politics.net - FORUMShttp://pub162.ezboard.com/baboutpolitics.Contribute to the Richard Harvey Scholarship Fund.http://www.avsim.com/pages/scholarship.shtml CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
January 19, 200422 yr Hi Joe & Jim,Seems like I have got 2 experts on shoot;) .The program works like a charm and as Joe stated at the end of his message "training" helps a lot.But (there is always one isn't it?:-) ), it does not accept commands consisting of more than 3 keypresses. At least not from me:( .PMDG 737 has commands for changing panels like: ( ctrl+shift+tab+1 ) and whatever I do shoot sees only 3 of them. Whats' funny though; it misses always the 3rd key, because: first I was thinking it doesn't recognize (tab) and took all (tab) commands out then I tried to change places for the keys and voila; whatever comes to the 3rd position vanishes...Any clues??Gratefull to be,Samim
January 19, 200422 yr I'll dig around and see what I can figure out.I don't have the PMDG, so I'll change a key command or two and see if there is a workaround for it.Regards,Joehttp://aboutpolitics.net/images/bannerav.gif.About Politics.net - FORUMShttp://pub162.ezboard.com/baboutpolitics.Contribute to the Richard Harvey Scholarship Fund.http://www.avsim.com/pages/scholarship.shtml CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
January 20, 200422 yr Afternoon Jim, I've messed with shoot a little bit. Did all the training session's.There's one problem that I'm having. I'll start Shoot, then FS2004, All goes well for a while then every so often my microphone, in the volume control panel, slides all the way to the bottom. So i have to go back in the volume control panel and reset it.Works for a bit longer then will do it again. I read other posts where this happens with others! Any idea's, Thanks Bob McDuff
January 20, 200422 yr Only in training mode does this happen to me, when setting up the mic. volume.JimActiveSky Support
January 20, 200422 yr O.k been messing around a little more. This happens when I switch from FS2004 to Shoot and then back again. I have to go back and reset the microphone volume back up.
January 20, 200422 yr Here's what happens now, I open FS2004 and Shoot.I'm in the FS 2004 window and hit CAP LOCKS to speake and it works. Then I hit CAP LOCKS again to no speak, then hit CAP LOCKS to speak again and nothing. I have to go back to the "Open Volume Control panel" and reset my microphone slider up again from the bottom. This can't be right. Anyone have any ideas
January 20, 200422 yr Check the documentation page and maybe try changing the sampling rate of the microphone. Worth a shot. Also, I open shoot first with microphone in the off state, then open MSFS2004, then hit my PTT Button I configured on my yoke. I no longer use the CAPS LOCK Key to togggle on or off. Let us know if that works. Also, make sure your volume in the room is pretty quiet, unless you have a headset.Regards,Joehttp://aboutpolitics.net/images/bannerav.gif.About Politics.net - FORUMShttp://pub162.ezboard.com/baboutpolitics.Contribute to the Richard Harvey Scholarship Fund.http://www.avsim.com/pages/scholarship.shtml CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
January 21, 200422 yr I just don't get it. I have a Sound Blaster LIVE 5.1 sound card. Now when I go to the open volume control tab it opens in the PLAY control Panel. This is where my microphone is always being changed to low volume, not in the RECORD control panel. When I speak into the mic, with the slider up in the PLAY control panel I here myself in the speakers. Now when this slider is turned down I don't here myself, but neither does the Shoot 1.6.3. How come this is happening in the play control panel. Shouldn't this be happening in the RECORD control panel. It seems like its backwards. I would think that the RECORD control panel would adjust the incoming volume ie; microphone and the PLAY control panel would control the playback ie; sounds that FS2004 puts out. What am I missing here?
January 23, 200422 yr I don't have an answer, but I thought I would bump this back to the top.I'm sure there is a sound card expert around here somewhere. Also did you check SoundBlaster's website to see if this is a recurring problem with the mic setup.Just a thought. Maybe try new drivers if available.Regards,Joe CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
January 23, 200422 yr Thanks Joe, Yes this weekend I'll do some more research. I hade the same problem when I first started using Roger Wilco.Fixed it but don't remember how.
