No Descent Path After ****

Im getting an FMC message "No Descent Path Calculate After **** "(VOR, NDB etc etc). I keep getting this message while flying in Europe on Departures and Arrivals. I have check the LEG's page and the FMC has all of the waypoints/speeds/altutude's in it as per the STAR/SID, yet I keep getting this message.I tired looking it up in FCOM 1/2 FCTM QRH and there is nothing in there about this FMC message. Can anyone help? I am using the latest NavData (or close to it) and it seems that Navipgrah Data isn't the problem.
