Hello;I'm running FSX SP2 with ASE, UT2 and using the most current, UN-Registered fsuipc, matter-of-fact, all the add-ons are up to date and current. My problem is, or it seems, that something is playing havoc with ASE and how it depicts the winds. I load up ASE first, let it run and parse, then load up FSX, UT loads it's traffic, I reset AI with ASE then wait. After about 5 mins I listen to ATIS via RC and the winds are definitely not as depicted, way off by 90 degrees sometimes. Keep in mind I have the red ticker on (shift-z) and am looking at ASE window up on my second screen(no guess work). If I go into Fsuipc via the menu bar and click "weather off" the FSX ticker and ASE seem to react and come close, ie: mag versus true, but ATIS is still off. I've put the :useASEweather=yes in the ini file but nothing has changed. Tried =no but still the same. I guess my question is What do you guys recommend I use for settings on ASE, FSUIPC, do I need a registered copy?Currently I'm using ASE with, force dest Wx zone, force atc wind lock, force hi priority process'/ depiction mode was DWC(with wind depiction problems) One other question, in RC, main window, the .FLT/.WX path, where is this path suppose to point to?????, now I have it pointing to my ASE weather. The .FLT/.WX is sorta confusing as to what I need to point it to Any help would be appreciated.ThanksBob

"One other question, in RC, main window, the .FLT/.WX path, where is this path suppose to point to?????, now I have it pointing to my ASE weather. The .FLT/.WX is sorta confusing as to what I need to point it to?" That is the path where FSX stores those .wx and .flt files that get loaded with a saved flight. In FS9 and XP it is stored with the flight plans in My Documents\Flight Simulator Files and would be named Flight Simulator X files in your case for FSX. That is also the case for RC saved flights with the .rcd extension that loads all three file types. Pete Dowson (FSUIPC) recommends in most cases not to use the Use ASE statement according to previous posts in this forum. I'd check that out. I'm not an ASE user but they recently released service pack 3 I believe and check their release notes. Check the hifi sim forum here on AVSIM. Be sure your are using the current version of FSUIIPC which today is 4.742 from: http://forum.simflig...pdated-modules/ Unless you have instructions to the contrary I believe Weather Settings Off should not be used. That is a setting to be used with a networked client to a host FS pc. I have requested the pinned topic regarding ASE to be pulled or modified with references to the hifi sim support forum. This thread on the FSUIPC forum is outdated:http://forum.simflig...__1#entry426644 http://forum.avsim.n...ftware-support/ has several related threads regarding weather in FS and METAR discrepancies. It is not just RC users experiencing problems from what I gathered. I looked there and ASE build 647 is SP3 and one user is happy with 649. I believe which addresses some of these issues introduced by the global weather mode in DWC. http://forum.avsim.net/topic/350369-guide-for-ase-settings/ might be of use.
