NVIDIA GeForce GT530

Featured Replies

My setup is as follows: FSX Operating SystemWindows 7 64 biti7 2600 processorNvidia GeForce GT530 2gb Memory8 gb DDR# Ram When I run PMDG 737NGX after approx 20 - 30 minutes my graphics card freezes to a black screen, the computer also freezes, and requires shutting down and restarting. One strange thing is that a fan begins to run at the same time as the graphics card failure (possibly due to overheat?) I have followed the instructions regarding the settings in the provided PMDG introduction. The same does not occur with all my other commercial add ons, i.e. wilco ifly LDS etc, they all run without any issues. Can someone help?

Black screen or freeze have been a common probs when running the NGX.First off, you need to use Bojote´s tweaking and tuning tool for cfg. Here it is: http://www.venetubo.com/fsx.html If you still have Black screen, then do a search about this in this ForumThere are numerous posts about freezing, in this forum if you do a search and also about black screen. However, it seems the Hotfix 4 have helped a lot of people with the freeze. No thats your Graphic fan starts spinning faster only, it´s absolutely not because of overheating off the Card. It´will do so when thetemp rises in steps. Get a free program so you can monitor and change those fan steps, depending of temp.A GPU temp of 65-70 is no probs when running Games or FSX for long periods. Here is one GPU utility for monitoring and setting fan speed: http://downloads.gur...nload-2562.html I myself use Evga Precision, since I have an Evga 580GTX card. The utility is here: http://www.evga.com/precision/ / Leffe
