October 12, 201114 yr Bonjour, Running active sky evolution on FS9 (on windows XP) the performance is greatly decreased. I personally feel (could be wrong) that it is conflicting with something maybe an old FSUIPC which inturn is greatly decreasing the Frame Rate. Any ideas? Merci,James Andrews
October 12, 201114 yr Commercial Member Hello James, You may want to experiment with the "Force High Priority Processes" option, which is default ON, but setting to OFF will relax the speed of processes a little bit. If you have any performance-related Windows tweaks (i.e. Processor/Priority/Affinity settings) there could be something conflicting in which restoring default cfg/windows settings would identify. Finally, the weather environment and graphics options may be overloading things a bit, so you can try reducing maximum number of cloud layers, reducing FS9 graphics quality options, etc, to see if that isolates it. If you have any performance-related FSX.cfg or Windows tweaks (i.e. Processor/Priority/Affinity settings) there could be something conflicting in which restoring default cfg/windows settings would identify. I'm not running FSX, FS9 so i havn't enhanced anything!Cheers!
