This...is Linux

Recommended Posts

Hi ColinThere is site called WineHQ http://wiki.winehq.org/ wiki, and some customer's have successfully installed FSx.http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=7775 The terminal shell was the original way of interacting with the OS before the GUI days, and is more powerful than the GUI (oposite of Windows OS)It's still posible to use Linux without the GUI and it's a multi terminal environment with real multitasking. You can press ctrl+alt F1-F8 to get new commandsessions up,(use ctrl+alt F7 to get back the GUI screen again.I recommend k3b for disk burning and ripping mp3s (I use Kubuntu) and Amarok for mp3 playing them.Do a google search for kde to get an idea.
