Sunken fronot wheels?

Featured Replies

I have wondered for a while why the front wheel of some a/C's sinks into the ground in FSX. Some people have told me that the Elevation is wrongæly calculated in the program, I hardly believe this.Has anyone encountered this and if yes is there a solution of raising it at a [ontact point]? You need to open the cfg file and adjust the:1. vertical position of the nose wheel 2. static compression 3. max/static compression ratio Once the correct vertical position has been fixed, you can ajdust the remaining two items. Changing the static compression influences the max/static compression ratio and vice versa.Furthermore you have to adjust these values when applying brakes, as the nose strut compresses, and you don't want the nose wheel to either sink completely into the ground or to loose contact with the runway.Lots of trial and error.....

Bstolle Thanks a a lot I google my self to an answer and as you say...Trial and error: Changed the first line 3rd number from the left to: point.0 = 1, 0.90, 0.00, -4.20, 1500, 0, 0.5, 22.0, 0.25,2.5, 0.7, 0.0, 0.0, 0 and these are the results: IMG]http://i270.photobucket.com/albums/jj107/berlopez/Cessna172Frontwheelfixed.jpg[/img] When braking the wheel doesn't dissapear into the groundsmile.png
