  1. Charlie,Sorry I left the topic unanswered.I did realise than when one turns the lights on the A.B. Effect shows. Berlopez
  2. When I first downloaded the ViperDen, installed it and realized I couldn't live with the Glass tranparency issue in VC I deleted it; Then I found a fix, that didn't help, later on I found another that after unzipping the file it gave me the result of a .Bmp file that work !😃 The transparency even improved the look of the panel in VC. Then I realized the AfterBurner effect was on ALL the time, even at idle and the lights blincked insasibely/Constantly, so I deleted again. Now after reinstalling I am more satisfied. I tried, only copying the Exhaust effect, hoping it was the Afterburner, but nothing shows. Can anyone advice? Berlopez P.D. I am running FSX Acceleration.
  3. I will proceed Sunday and report, sorry it's taken me this time to start. I look forwards to be flying again and will report. Berlopez
  4. That Is neither The FSX.exe icon or The FSX Shortcut I created show in the list, so I haven't anything to uninstall or point Revo or CCleaner to. What to do now? Should I just delete these? And then proceed with a new FSX\ Gold Accl. Install ? Berlopez
  5. Airernie: neither Revo or CCleaner uninstallers show the FSX Icon on the list ? Berlopez
  6. Airernie, thanks for your reply. No I haven't yet attempted a reinstall. The FSX.exe icon is one I copied from a previous failed install or I am not sure now from my Dasktop shortcut which is from where FSX starts (I think?) not Validated for only 30 minute flights. I will fallow your advice and use Revo. Thank you. Berlopez
  7. I suppose deleting the desktop shortcut and FSX.exe can't do any harm, only simplify my reinstall ? Berlopez
  8. Now I realize FSX is not installed, eventhough it starts from a DeskTop icon I copied there from the FSX folder shortcut I created to make changes to the program. This is also probably the reason I got into all this PartMrg issue in the registry. Hopefuly when I reinstall all this will be over and I'll be back to flying...
  9. airernie, thanks again for your reply and advice! I have been fallowing the PMDG Install/Uninstall FSX intructions from theire site, and as far as I can see I don't find traces of FSX\Accl. anywhere, Also having fallowed theire intructions I uninstalled all my addons, which I luckily have copies of and can still activate, if nessesary. When i reinstall I hope I don't run into the issue with the registry to change partmgr to PartMgr; Which I still can't understand why it happened to me ? My copy of FSX\Acceleration is original and genuine. Just downloaded Revo Uninstaller "Free" and run it it scanned and din't find any traces of FSX, which is a relief for me. Hopefuly this means I can proceed with a clean FSX install. I also use CCleaner to see and uninstall leftover programs. Berlopez
  10. airernie, thanks for your reply and advice ! When all this began to happen to me, all i figured was to uninstall FSX Accl. which I did from Control Panel until the program dissapeared from Programs and Features. Then I tried to reinstall by inserting the discs, but when I got to Acceleration that disc got ejected and nothing else happened ??? So I proceeded to uninstall again, first via Control Panel again and then I deleted Saved Flights and what ever was left of FSX in my C:\. All I had left was the Shortcut I had created in my desktop, to make changes to FSX from there. From this shortcut I copied the FSX.exe to my desktop and incredible from there I can open FSX\Accel....But...For only 30 mins. Flights, Because I guess this folder is not Registered/Validated. So I am planning to reinstall and hopefuly after DISC 2 I get the validation page, where I can enter thekey and I should be good to go again...
  11. I have had FSX Gold for years. There are two product keys in my boxed version, one for FSX and one for Acceleration. I have had problems with Activation, so I'm for the moment stuck flying 30 mins. flights, I get the message I have to activate...But when I click "Ok" on the buttom all goes blanck and all I get is a Black Screen??? Strangely I made a DeskTop Shortcut and I think I am running FSX from there. Sorry to bud in the topic. Berlopez p.s: I know I have double posted, wanted to correct a small spelling error, I am unable to delete the erroneous post, I am sorry.
  12. Yes now my weather engine works. But I am still having issues startinf FSX\Accl. from my DeskTop icon and it only runs for 30 mins. I don''t seem to be able to activate it, despite checking the registry key and the PartMgr entry ? Any suggestions. Berlopez
  13. Hi Charliearon: Have just began to check my registry and I see I have PartMgr correctly spelled,( As in my two images in the previous page) yet I only get 30 mins flights ??? I just got CTD'ed on Final grrr... I managed to fix my Weather engine FSXWX. I downloaded and run a SIMCONNECT which seemed to be missing and the software couldn't load these were the instructions: Install the three SimConnect.msi by double clicking on them in order: 1-RTM/Simconnect.msi 2-SP1/Simconnect.msi 3-XPACK/Simconnect.msi 4-Reinstall FsPassengers Prepar3D NOTICE: It's normal that the installer's title is "Microsoft Flight Simulator X". Prepar3D use the microsoft version and you can find those installer also in your Prepar3D installation ("redist" folder). Berlopez
  14. Thanks Charliearon, I've become a bit dislectic with the years; I'll report.😂 My G.F. has alredy booked me for a few household jobs, so as soon as I find the right time, I'll get to it.😁 Berlopez
  15. Hello Charliearon, thanks for your reply, Knowing and having been very careful to edit the registry and fallowing carefully instruction my PartMgr was indeed spelled partmgr, with small letters, I edited this to mistakengly PartMrg, which you just notice was wrong. Great you noticed ! I will edit this tomorrow first hand and fix everything. Thanks a million. Bernardo
  16. FSX is installed in Program Files(x86) I copied the .exe from the tree to DeskTop and start it from there. But! I have an activation issue now, after 30 mins. of flying the sim stops and I get a message to activate it...When I click on the "Ok" buttom all goes Black. I checked my PartMng thing in the registry and it's as it should be.The only entry in Upper Filters is PartMng.
  17. The Flight Plans folder and Logbook are Not present any longer. I deleted them. Berlopez
  18. Do all folders get created in program files and program files (x86) I haven't deleted any of these folders, only the contents. Berlopez
  19. Now stuck on FSX\Accel. reinstallation doing the sys.clean I might have deleted more folder than I ought to, in my program files(x86) I cannot find the microsoft games folder? Does it get created when I install FSX? Or should I just create a new folder ith that game Microsoft Games and in it create another folder Microsoft Flight Simulator X? ...Or should I simply create a folder under my C:\ FSX and install it there? Berlopez
  20. I'll recheck my sys.clean again tomorrow, hopefuly when I do the reinstall it all goes well and through with activation, true I already have aa BIG HeadAche 🤕 A friend even suggested a windos10 reset, but I'll try the reinstall first. Berlopez
  21. maDDoz, Yes I let it install by default to Program Files. Tomorrow I'll do another install to my C:\ I've been cleaning out my system fallowing the intructions given in the PMDG Link to get a clean install. I'll report, thank you for the fallow up and advice. Thank you CharlieAron for the link. Berlopez
  22. MaDDogz, Yes I let it install into the default, did not Right click the installer or run it as administrator. I think? And I need your advice here. After my attemps to install, the uninstaller is NOT doing its' job and leaves FSX in its' location in Program Files (x86) Thereby also leaving the Icon on my desktop. I am afraid by now I have 3 installation ( Yes I know I messed-up BIG) And despite attempting to uninstall via C/P The files still remain. I tried all three FSX.exe Until the last one opened up and loaded FSX. This one I copied to Desktop, but doesn't work anymore, gives me the ERROR ID=25 (Null) Even if I try to run as Administror ? I get a message: Flight simulator was unabl to load some program files and will now exit. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the program installation. And I thought I had succeded when I managed to punch in the Activation code.(Sigh). Berlopez
  23. Success!😄 Couldn't stand it,I'm addicted. Decided to give the installation another try, inserted DISC 1 and let it run, The Blue boxes began to load in the Upper left box, until it asked for DISC2, Let that run too, then asked me for activation, which I promtly punshed in, then FSX started default Flight with the Air creation_582SL on final at Friday Harbor; Of courseis all default and I have to now beggin to install my addon planes and scenery and Acceleration. Thanks for your kind assistance: Berlopez Oh! Drat! Back to the icon issue FSX won't start from it at all, getting the same message: ERROR ID=25 (Null) Which is what I started this topic with, Continue soon again...
  24. Hello MaDDogz After all these gremlins, as you say, things just get too complicated for me, so I went drastic and uninstalled FS via Control Panel, as it finished the desktop icon was still present, if this has anything to do with it? And my shortcut to FSX, which I know shouldn't get uninstalled because is not part of the program. Despite running the repair option my desktop icon still shows ERROR ID=25 From there Icannot go any further so I don't know if the Dm4km.bgl fault has been fixed? All files and folders, .dlls' etc.... are still present under programs x (86)\Microsoft\Microsoft games\Flight Simulator X; I cannot run FSX from the icon in the folder it tells me: Flight Simulator was unable to load some program files and will now exit. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the program installation. BTW: After it finished installing I did not get the activation page ? Back to GremlinsI am afraid to say. Thanks for your imput. Berlopez
  25. I have done all this, not being computer savi, my hands shake when I get to the registry, let alone editing it, yes at one point some days ago I went in there because i was getting an error message and i Googled and an answer led me to this, in there i found that somehow in the Upperfilters the PartMgr was spelled partmgr ??? So I changed it to PartMgr and all went well aftr that. until this present activation issue started. I just did again this and checked I had spelled PartMgr as is here, closed the registry. BTW my DeskTop FSX Icon doesn't work as I describe in my reply # 3 To Charliearon; I am trying to start FSX from the .exe in the FSX Tree, though I manage I don't get the registration page? Now I am also getting a message the Dem4km.bgl is missing or broken,I too got this message some days ago and moved that file from a FSX copy I have on an Ext.Drive and that helped getting rid of tht message too, until now. I Just checked and the file is present and the population density.bgl file as well, but I don't get FSX's Splash Screen as described in a video I found describing how to solve the Dem4km.bgl issue. The video has no sound so I have done only what I think the author attempted to describe, click on the DEm4km.bgl file and then on the population density.bgl file then the splash screen opens on the video. (Not for me though) Berlopez
