In my set-up it took about 30 mins. Now when loading the sim ( FS2020) when it gets to Looking for Updates it takes 5-10 secs. where as before it used to take minutes.

P_7878 Thank you for your fallow up and explanations. I had read somewhere and sometime ago an explanation regarding the colored dots. But with all the exitement of starting the sim and beginning a flight, one quickly forgets. P_7878, Thanks for your reply. I'll try to click the dot which in FS2020 is Blue; I can only guess that in 2024 it's Orange. Yes there is a list of updates and content when I hover the mouse over it. ( Items). After which when I go back the dot dissapears

I'm confused? When ever I start the sim the Bell on top of the page shows a Blue Dot, indicating there is an update in que. But, When I go to the update manager all updates say " Installed" After when I go back the Blue Dot has dissapeared, Why is this? Can anyone explain? Berlopez

Have had Eaglesoft CitationllSP working in Fs9,FSX and have even had access to theire forum but no luck this past few months; Because of this silence I am afraid of purchasing their product, via their site. It doesn't seem like they support MSFS.It's a shame.

Bert,thanks for your reply. It seems to be the only logic explanation. As I say above I am not an FMC flier, more an IFR. I may be missing something ( Part of the fun). I don't like to overcomplicate things. Just came up for the first time in any IFR flight I've done in any sim, reason why I posted. Thanks fro your imput. Berlopez

Martin again thank you for helping me with this.Your explanation is very helpful. I have never used the FMC for any kind of flying, although I must be missing something special in simming,I don't enjoy a good memory, personally, to know how to use it. This just came out of the Blue, last night, reason why I posted.The Cessna 172SP doesn't have a FMC. I did beggin the flight with the Baron 58 and once in the runway I changed it for the Cessna, maybe I shouldn't have done that, because the sim could have got confused🤪. I really don't have an explanation for this. Other than this acount. Thank you for your assistance and good advice.

Martin thanks for your interest in my quest for a reply/ explanation. First I am preaty sure it said CH812 it was in the written notice on the ATC window; First I thought it meant CH= Channel therefore I checked the frequencies which are many Then I looked for an ICAO for a nearby airport/Field; But I found nothing related. I simply continued to fly at a heading it gave me in the first instance, ( Yet it continued to tell me " Continue to CH812" I abandoned the flight and exited the sim. The internet here has been playing a bit. we got a new cordless modem for out TV downstairs, where the other modem is as well and maybe they are playing against each other ( I HOPE NOT ). Or something else. I'll repoprt if this continues. Berlopez

This might be a dumb question? During an IFR flight simple flight Kastrup CPH. to Århus I was doing ATC kept on telling me to continue to VH812 ? At first I thought it was a frequency,but didn't find any. Then I thought it could be an ICAO to an airport on the way to my destination, didn't find one either by that ID ?... I have to mention that the sim took its' time to start/continue past the Loading manager ( Looking for updates) Window tonight, If this could have enything to do with my confusion?... Any advice will help

Next morning I load the sim. still with my controller showing in Grey...And everything works! ?... Berlopez

No it's not the menubar within the sim, the one that opens when you hover the mouse on top of the upsidedown arrow. Is the one that used to show like the Taskbar but atop, where dev.Mode use to show as no.1 and all those other menu options ? How can I get it back. berlopez

Arg! For some reason not known to me today I lost conection between FS2020 and MS SW FF2 ? I''ve done everything I know, restart the sim, restart computer, check control panel, where the joystick does appear; My brother installed in my computer windows 11 a program to calibrate the joystick joy.cpl and everything works there in the windows calibration panel, everything lights. But when I load the sim. and go to the control panel for the controller, it shows Grey ?...! And no matter what I do it doesn't connect all I have is a a little resistance in the handle and the Green light is on. All bottoms and throttle slider are dead when the game loads. Right Calum, yesterday the German update came and installed and is now showing when the sim starts, So I guess we can conclude that's the way it works and everythign is in order. Bernardo

Seabass and cobalt: What a reliefe! Apparently for no reason, known to me, the screenshot of the updatee only shows now...For a few seconds 2-3 and the sim continues loading 😁. I wonder if we are going to see screenshots, like this, from other updates? Bernardo

Thanks for your support and advice, I am not very computer savi. at the moment I have a very bad internet connection, everything freezes and it's difficult to fly. before attempting your suggestion Bobsk8,I'll wait nd see if thiis gets better. Thanks to you both.

No I have not uninstalled anything, just the thought of reinstalling the sim a-new is enough to keep me awake, Just think is odd that both updates show in Market Place as installed and updated.

I believe I did...Not sure though by now as I thought that I had double copies of the update and wasn't careful to check the number of the update; Update lll and XVll show as installed

cianpars,thanks for your reply, In my content manager I already have WU17 ( shows as nstalled).

I am puzzled, please help. When ever I start FS2020 in the opening screen I get an Update for scenery of the United Kingdom and Ireland? I have checked in the Contents Manager and the scenery already appears in there as installed and Up To Date. Is this showing because I am missing this update or is it just advertising Logo ? please guide me. Berlopez
