October 14, 201114 yr I am trying to use my laptop to plan flights for flight simulator. but it seems for most flight planners, I need to have flight simulator installed, in order for it to have the VOR location information is there some sort of online flight planner or sumthing I can use? because Im really getting sick of the built in FP... it ends up giving me DME's and crap like that to navigate from... Like a DME isnt a VOR.. thers a huge difference lol but anyway.. it would be nice to have an online FP builder if there is such a thing
October 14, 201114 yr I just use this http://rfinder.asalink.net/free/ There are some payware products around though - yeah, dont use the inbuilt one - its not the best! Brent Lewis
October 14, 201114 yr You can always install the planner in your PC, have it generate the navaids database and then install the planner on your laptop and copy the database over. Or if you don't want to copy the files over, you can install the planner while the laptop is networked to your PC with FSX and have the navaids database generator generate the database locally on the laptop. Cheers, - jahman.
