January 24, 200422 yr After using these two add-ons I come away with an impression that can only be defined by one word, 'Dedication'. FSD's new Navajo is hands down the best aircraft they've produced to date (at least to me). Everything about this plane is wonderful and on point with the real world plane. It's design's like this that make me happy I've discovered this hobby many years ago (1986 to be exact, almost 20 years).Mach2 is wonderful as well to have given us the great Concord for free. Many have promised to produce this bird for us in FS but only Mach2 did it. The FS2k4 version is right up there in the payware quality area. If it weren't for the efforts of those French guys at Mach2, the Concord would have died in FS the same way it did back in October 2003. I don't think it would have ever been done right if it weren't for Mach2. Visually it's just about up there with VMAX's 747. Not every switch and knob works but you have a complete interactive VC and cabin as well as a wonderful external model. Who could ask for anything more considering it's free (that reminds me, we should all get together and run Perfect Flight out of business. Projects like Mach2 Concord really bring home why these guys shouldn't be around anymore). Anyway I just have to give mentions to these two great packages that I've been playing around with these last few days. Thanks FSD and Mach2...Dillon-- FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
January 24, 200422 yr Thanks much for your kind words, Dillon. I speak for all of us at FSD in saying that we appreciate those who see value in the products we produce... Just wait until we are able to release the fully clickable vc!!Best,Owen
January 24, 200422 yr Author Does this mean an interactive VC fix for all the older FSD aircraft??? That's great if that's what your telling me... FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
January 25, 200422 yr Yup, it sure does. All of the gmax designs (C115, Cheyenne, Seneca, Porter) and they've already been done. It's just up to Microsoft to decide when you can have them.http://www.fsd-international.com/team/Steve_signature.gif
January 25, 200422 yr What has MS got do do with the clickable cockpits when you have already made them? Just curious...- Oyvind
January 25, 200422 yr They decide when they get released as the 'beta' software tool used to fully implement them is not officially available. It's their software, after all, so they get to decide.http://www.fsd-international.com/team/Steve_signature.gif
January 25, 200422 yr Author I'm glad to hear about this tool because companies like PSS don't have an excuse anymore for not upgrading their A320 and Dash8 products to FS2k4 standards. I really wish your work didn't have to wait on a Microsoft timetable because who knows when they'll get around to releasing this tool. We still haven't seen all the SDK's released and it's been 5+ months since FS2k4 has been on the market. That FDE SDK (Air Editor) was and still is a joke. It hasn't changed from the hokey tool that shipped with FS2k2Pro. I for one am chocking this up as hopeful but not solid information that I can count on any time soon. Thanks FSD for your efforts but if these updates are contingent upon Microsoft we may as well not see anything until the summer or fall of 2004, if then...Microsoft needs to patch FS2k4 and quit the pompous arrogant attitude they've developed. No software is perfect the FS2k4 surely isn't. They could continue to update FS2k4 just like they've done with all their other products, that's the main reason why I don't expect to see a tool like this released anytime soon...
