Unable to reinstall to FSX

Hi I have a licensed DVD from Aerosoft which proved difficult to install onto my Win7 64bit system. The DVD just spun in the drive and refused to install to my 1TB HDD. Eventually I got it onto a 100GB SSD where it worked in the same PC system, but with no room for all the other things I use in FSX. Then I could not uninstall (same DVD problem as before). After many (>20) tries it uninstalled, but when I install it to my HDD there is no training flight. The MD-11 will load into FSX but engines are running with no panels lit, no PMDG in the drop-down menu and the yoke hard to port. Loading liveries is hit and miss; some do and some don't. Any ideas, please - as at the moment I seem to have a very expensive coaster in my hangar? Thanks Linden Crundall
