Unable to Achieve Zero Visibility

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,I'm a long time user of Activesky 6.5 with FS2004. I thought I had everything configured as well as possible, but lately I've been bothered by slow frame rates/stuttering at certain airports or when I have a lot of (IMC) weather. My system is pretty good...dual core 2.8 Ghz, 2 gigs ram, an ATI Radeon 3600 HD video card with 1 gig ram etc.Anyway, I made some changes that I thought would improve frame rates, (like changing target frame rate to 22, and backing off some of the terrain detail). but now, when my Activesky injects weather, and I go to an airport that should be fogged in, I have pretty much IMC conditions when airborne, but clear visibility on the ground.Any advice on how to get back my zero visibility when the metar calls for it? Are their optimal settings you'd like to recommend? Thanks.

Hello again.....I'm troubled to see that 40 members have viewed my post and nobody has offered any help :-(I don't know where to go from here, but if this forum isn't the right place I'd appreciate it if any of you could point me in the right direction. Thanks,Wayne

And now I have updated my ATI Radeon 3600 HD driver and "catalyst" software. This seems to have caused repeated CTD of FS2004. All I was looking to do initially was improve my frame rates and get back accurate depictions of IMC....it turns out that I cant even use FS anymore.

Hello,Is this pertaining to ASv6.5 or ASE?If you can provide details we can attempt to duplicate a problem here or find out what is happening... useful details would include the location, METAR at the time, date/time, etc.
