Hi Mike,"Taxi via Taxiway C (Charlie), Taxiway A (Alpha) then Taxiway B (Bravo) etc..."RegardsJean-ClaudeLSZH

Taxiways are like roads and have names such as C D E and holding points such as C1 D3 and E4. The controller says the names using the phonetic alphabet such as charlie and alpha..just telling you what taxiways to use to get to the runway.

Thanks for the explnation.Suppose I come to taxiway A, which way do I turn (left or right) so that I can find taxiway B later on?Michael TanYSCB

>Suppose I come to taxiway A, which way do I turn (left or>right) so that I can find taxiway B later on?Thats where you need your trusty little airport layout diagrams... or if you're lucky you'll get a nice controller that says taxi left Bravo Alpha hold Short 18.. once you taxi left on Braqvo you'll run into the Alpha intersection, follow Alpha and you'll hit the 18 hold short line. You could always ask for a progressive taxi as well.Chris
