Texture problem

Featured Replies

I'm having a peculiar problem off late. Please help. At certian points in mid air the aircraft texture goes blank-the brown textureless stuff, and so does the ground texture and fs9 give that dreaded error message "flight simulator encountered error and needs to restart blah blah" On the error report i find that a module called fe.dll is noted as problematic. Can anybody please help me? Initially everything is fine only when I reach particular points/location in mid air this happens and so far I have observed them only in US. Awaiting a solution.

I have not had this problem. I guess I'm leading a charmed life but I just haven't had any lock ups, CTDs or anything go wrong so far.I did a search just to see if I had the file you mentioned, fe.dll. I do have it. It is in the FS9/modules folder. I wish I could suggest something to try but I am not qualified. Maybe some of the gurus of FS9 will chime in with something for you.At least now you know the file should be there and that it should be in the FS9/modules folder.Hope you get it fixed soon,Earl BuiceGeorgia USA

Hi,I had problems with frequent crashes in FS9 a while ago. I then disabled all add on sceneries (incl landclasses and mesh). Yes - no crashes. I then enabled a couple of add ons at a time. Time consuming process, but I finally found the add on and removed it (it was a FS2002 landclass that FS9 didn't appreciate much - Don't ask me what landclass file because I've forgot).Might be worth trying. Good luck :-) Ulf Bjarke
