January 30, 200422 yr Just like to know if a fix is available to bring down the wall of water at the end of runway 26 at KLCI, Laconia, NH, or do we have to live with this approaching Tsunami? ThanksChris
January 30, 200422 yr Wow! the lake looks a little over full. The C208 is quite happy to taxi on it but it's a bit of a struggle getting up the front of the wave , lolDave
January 30, 200422 yr Author An extreme angle of attack, I would say. You could take Rwy 8 approach, land on the pond, slide down the hill of water and roll onto 8. This probably wouldn't qualify under Dougherty's Dangerous approaches, but it would be tricky. -hah
January 30, 200422 yr Hi,I haven't checked out this airport, and I'm using FSGenesis Landclass and Scenery(Mesh). So I might not see the what you're talking about if I were to go there.... but, you can check this out if you want...http://www.fs-traveler.com/flatten.shtmlI hope that might help,Regards,Jim
January 30, 200422 yr Author Thanks Jim for that great info. I will try it tonight. I use FS Genesis Landclass (Beta) for FS2K2 which seems to work fine, but I believe this anomaly appears with default FS scenery files. Proportionately, that wall of water must be 30' high. Just want to lower the lake a little!Chris
January 30, 200422 yr Just have a look at the Madeira (LPMA) airport. It is just the same! Some time ago I posted a message on this subject but could not get any help.Best Regards,
January 30, 200422 yr Didn't somebody just post about wishing the runways in FS9 weren't all flat? Guess he overlooked these.David
January 31, 200422 yr Author I just ran the fsutilities program as provided by Jim (One Tin Soldier) from the above thread, and it worked like a charm. The pond is at proper elevation now with the wall of water gone. Very easy to use. Just follow the directions.I would be willing to share this file with the community, but I have never upload ANYTHING to Avsim before. Is there a tutorial anywhere to help me do this or perhaps someone could give me some guidelines.Chris
