New Posky FDE's

Featured Replies

I need a hand setting up some generic weights for my posky 747-400's and A330's. With the new FDE's, the weights are all maxed out. Could someone please post some typical weight and fuel loads for these planes from your Aircraft.CFG files. Basically, I would just like to set up for an average transatlantic crossing from, say Chicago to Frankfurt. If you have the same info (rough, generic flights) for the CRJ-200 and 757-200, that would be helpfull too. Thanks guys.:-wave PS..I would have posted on the Posky forum, but they have asked for us not to ask for weight/fuel load questions as there are alot of diferent combinations of airframe/engine type out there. I guess they dont want someone harping about how they used X setup and it isn't perfect with their setup. I can see their point! I'm not that demanding, I just need generic info so that my tail ain't draggin on the ground when I load a plane!

Look around for fuel planners for specific aircraft. Although I haven't found any for the A330. If not, then what you can do is look through the documentation and usually some sort of fuel usage is mentioned. For example, in the Posky A330 docs, the fuel burn is 10,600 pph (pounds per hour). If you use a flight planner that estimates travel time, you can do some quick math and figure out how much fuel you need. Of course, you need to add some for takeoff, as well as take the upper level winds into account.
