PSU recommendation

Featured Replies

Hi all, I am about to build a pc, after doing some research I have narrowed it down to the following hardware:i5-2500kasus p8z68-v pro/gen3cooler master 212 evo ( I'm only going to overclock to 4.2, I'm a little nervous about the lifespan of the system )corsair 8gb vengeancegigabyte gtx 560ti600gb WD VR - FSX500gb WD black - OS ( will upgrade to SSD in the future )PSU - ? I was thinking of a corsair hx650w, does that sound adequate for this system?Any feed back would be great. Thanks,Miguel

Miguel

Corsair and NewEgg have PSU calculators.Cheers,- jahman.

650W is perfect for that system. I would recommend the Corsair AX, HX, or TX 650W or the Seasonic X-650. The Seasonic X-650W is actually the same PSU as the Corsair's top of the line AX650W and conveniently enough, it's only $100 on newegg right now. That's a steal!
