Install SP1 & SP2 as there are numerous bug fixes and performance improvements and check to see if DX10 is enabled. If so try disabling it.

Shalom and greetings all my pals,While I still have absolutely no idea where to find DX10 to deactivate, I had decided to uninstall recently installed FSX freeware TBPB Barbados international airport scenery and then used two FSX Deluxe cds to activate automatic repair function that did 20 minutes worth of repairing to my FSX.Presto my planes are now showing colorful textures as normal and I hope it would remain forever.Meanwhile I am going to spend next 7 days rigorously testing FSX and freeware planes to be sure there is nothing wrong.Pssst psst I do not think I have DX10 or even DX9 considering the fact I cannot even find it on my FSX or even on my laptop LOLRegards,Aharon

Aharon, in any case you need to have FSX SP2 or Acceleration installed, many aircraft do not work without it.

Stan

It's called "DX10 Preview" in the main configuration screen you can access via the menu bar.

All PCs/laptops running WinXP onwards have DX9, and if running Vista/7, also DX10.Cheers,- jahman.
