December 1, 200223 yr I wanted to start painting aircraft and I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between the regular Photoshop (the cheaper one!) and Photoshop Elements as far as aircraft painting goes. It appears thay are about the same price. Thanks for any info!!
December 1, 200223 yr dont know the answer to your question but...you may want to try this out, it is called GIMP. It is free and as I understand it has about 90% the functionality of Photoshop (including a nice layers interface)I use it for some pretty high end imaging and have never had a problem with it. Also, it has a tremendous following with third party customized addons.check it outhttp://www.gimp.org/the_gimp.htmldid I mention it is freeware and is updated several times a year?:-)good luck CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
December 1, 200223 yr Eric,check out the Elements FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopel/pdfs/faq.pdf.On page two, under "How do you justify the price difference between Photoshop Elements and Photoshop?" they go into detail on the differences.Cheers,-T

http://www.avsim.com/other/usaribbon.gifTodd IngallsMember of [link:members.ud.com/services/teams/team.htm?id=5E79C613-0A60-4A3B-BDC1-F9EE49F2D4FE]Join the AVSIM Team Fight Against Cancer!]
[/table.----BEGIN FS CODE BLOCK----G:EDDM(DE) a R- FS+(--) F++ P U++ X C+ H+>++ O+ V-- A+(++) SP?>+++-----END FS CODE BLOCK-----
December 2, 200223 yr Not sure what you mean by the "cheaper" Photoshop. There's only one Photoshop that I'm aware of, and it's six times the cost of Elements. There is a Photoshop upgrade available, but you must have a previous registered version of Photoshop or it won't install.Dan
