November 30, 201114 yr They don't really "do" anything. They're just so you can easily keep three numbers "written down" without having to remember them.Say you're flying a flight plan under a different callsign than your flightnumber, you can put your callsign there.Any three numbers you like to remember.... put 'em there. Name available upon request
